  • 7 Times Nigeria’s Beauty Queen, Unoaku Anyadike, Slayed At The Miss Universe 2017 Competition

Unoaku Anyadike, the MBGN 2015 winner, was Nigeria’s representative at the just concluded Miss Universe competition. Although she didn’t bring home the crown, Nigerians couldn’t be more proud of her considering her efforts towards spreading awareness of endometriosis. Here are some of the times she absolutely slayed during the competition.

    1. When she was unapologetically Nigerian while headed to the Miss Universe competition.

    2. When she played in Ankara during the courtesy visit to Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

    3. That time she beautifully showcased her gorgeous Nigerian outfit during the national costume presentation.

    4. Then she stayed effortlessly in this black dress during the opening ceremony.

    5. Her stunning yellow outfit to the governor’s ball.

    6. Her flawless campaign portrait for the competition.

    7. When she served sauce on the runway during a charity fashion show organised during the Miss Universe competition.

Miss Kenya, The Only African To Make Top 5 At The Miss World Pageant

Miss Kenya, Evelyn Njambi Thungu, made Kenya and Africa proud at the Miss World 2016 Pageant which held on Sunday.

L-R Miss Philippines, Miss Dominican Republic, Miss Indonesia, Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Kenya at the 2016 Miss World Crowning Ceremony.

The 22-year-old finished fourth position, and was the only African contestant to make it to the top 5 stage of the competition, in Oxen Hill, Maryland (USA).

Miss Ghana also made it to the top 20 stage.

Puerto Rico’s Stephanie Del Valle was crowned Miss World 2016, with Dominican Republic and Indonesia getting the first and second runner ups position.

Sadly, Miss Nigeria, Debbie Collins, did not make it to the top 5, nor the top 10, not even the top 20.

Miss World 2001, Agbani Darego, has been the only Nigerian to win the competition since it started in1951.

Hopefully, next year’s Nigerian contestant will take us back to the glory days of 2001.
