We talked about the Korean actors that made us love Korean dramas. Now, these are the Korean actresses that got us addicted to watching K-Dramas on the regular:
Kang So Ra made her acting debut in the 2009 horror movie 4th Period Mystery. She is popular for her character in the series Dream High 2 (2012), Ugly Alert(2013), medical drama Doctor Stranger (2014), workplace dramedy Misaeng (2014), and romantic comedy Warm and Cozy (2015).
15. Uhm Jung-hwa
Uhm Jung Hwa is considered to be one of the most influential women in the Korean entertainment industry. Many Korean female artists recognize her as a role model. She is popular for her character in the movies Seducing Mr Perfect and Venus Talk and series Witch’s Romance (2014) and He Who Can’t Marry (2007).
Han Hyo Joo is best known for her leading roles in the television dramas, Brilliant Legacy (2009) and Dong Yi (2010), as well as the film Cold Eyes (2013).

Moon Geun began modeling at the age of 10, then made her acting debut in 1999 as a child actress. She first rose to stardom through her role as the young Eun-suh in the hugely popular television drama series Autumn in My Heart (2000), followed by a well-received turn in Kim Jee-woon‘s critically acclaimed horror film A Tale of Two Sisters (2003).
9. Yoon Eun-hye
Yoon Eun Hye first came to the limelight in 1999 with the popular K-pop girl group Baby V.O.X. Born on October 3, 1984, this talented 30-year-old has starred in many television dramas Princess Hour (2006), First Shop of the Coffee Prince (2007) , Lie to Me (2011), Missing You (2012), and Marry Him If You Dare (2013).
She made her debut in the entertainment industry as a k-pop dancer. Thereafter, she decided to undergo formal training in acting and singing. Fast forward to 2015, Park Shin-hye has enjoyed a successful music and acting career. She has had lead roles in television dramas such as: You’re Beautiful (2009), Heartstrings (2011), Flower Boys Next Door (2013), The Heirs (2013) and Pinocchio (2015).
Jun Ji-Hyun is best known for her character in romantic comedy My Sassy Girl (2001) as ‘The Girl’ and My Love From Another Star (2013). Her successful big screen releases include films include The Thieves and The Assasination. She’s one of the highest paid actresses in South Korea.

It’s otherwise known as “My Girlfriend is a Nine-tailed Fox”. Cha Dae Woong is a spoiled brat with plans to become a successful action star. One day, on the run from his rich grandfather’s latest fit of rage towards him, he accidentally frees a nine-tailed fox, Gu Mi Ho, who has been imprisoned in a painting for 500 years.
20. City Hunter
A revenge drama done right. In 1983, 21 South Korean military operatives are sent into North Korea on a secret mission. After completing their mission, they are executed by their own side in a government cover-up. The sole survivor, Lee Jin Pyo, watches as his closest friend dies beside him. Taking his friend’s son under his wing, Jin Pyo raises him as his own and trains him with one goal: to take revenge on the men responsible for this massacre.
19. Oh My Venus
Starring So Ji Sub as Kim Young Ho and Shin Min Ah as Kang Joo Eun. Joo Eun was the IT girl in her high school days, who had the looks, is now an overweight spinster. What’s more is her old classmate turned rival has gone from being an outcast to a beautiful accomplished lawyer hell bent on making Joo Eun miserable. 15. First Shop of the Coffee Prince
This romantic comedy tells the story of Han Kyul, the handsome son of a wealthy hotelier family who is set in his bachelor ways and constantly deflects his family’s attempts to make him commit. He hires a goofy young delivery boy Eun Chan to pretend to be his gay lover to scare away his family’s set-ups. Trouble starts when Han Kyul begins to get to know the hardworking and lovable Eun Chan, and begins to develop real feelings for him, only to discover that “he” is actually a girl disguised as a boy.

Fated to Love You is a 20 episode 2014 Korean drama about a shy girl and dynamic man whose initial encounter results in pregnancy and a subsequent marriage. Their road to love is not straightforward or easy.

Choi Kang Chi is half gumiho and half human. Not fully belonging to either world, Kang Chi has to find his place and he meets Dam Yeo Wool, a skilled archer who accepts him for who he is.

It’s otherwise known as the “Reply Me” series. The Answer Me franchise has built its identity around feel-good nostalgia for simpler times, first loves, and friends that become family.
It’s hard to make prequels or sequels that are as good as the initial movie or series. But this drama has managed to do just that plus more.

4. Secret Garden
This drama is totally hilarious with the jinxes that come with a body swap occurrence. This quirky, high concept drama follows a neurotic businessman and a passionate stunt woman who are thrown together when, due to a magical accident, they end up switching bodies. Starring Hyun Bin and Ha Ji Won.
3. Dream High
This musical show follows six students at Kirin Art High School as they try to achieve their dreams of stardom. They compete against each other and sing their hearts out. Only one will succeed to become the world’s superstar pop idol “K”.
2. Boys Over Flower
All Korean drama lovers will agree that Boys Over Flower is the gateway to the Korean Drama Land. You could watch it just for the good-looking guys alone ?.
But seriously, this was the drama that introduced us to Lee Min Ho and made him a Hallyu* star.

The fantasy rom-com stars Kim Soo-hyun (The Moon That Embraces the Sun) as an alien who’s lived on Earth for over four centuries, and Jeon Ji-hyun as a diva actress and the first woman to complicate his life in all that time.

Nigerians love watching TV series and dramas, almost more than movies. Though it’s been long established that our favourites are Spanish and Indian dramas, there’s a new player that is swiftly taking over. It’s Korean dramas.
Today, we’ll be talking specifically about the Korean male actors.

10. Kim Won Bin
Won Bin has involved in modelling since 2009 and made his acting debut in 2011. He’s popular for his characters in the teen drama “School 2013” with Lee Jong-suk and the trendy drama “The Heirs” with Lee Min-ho.
9. Jin Chang Wook
Ji Chang-wook was born July 5, 1987. He rose to fame in the with the drama “Smile Again”, “Warrior Baek Dong-soo”, “Empress Ki”, and “Healer”.

8. Jang Guen Suk
Jang Geun-seuk was born on August 4th, 1987. Apart from singing, he’s a model and singer. He is best known for his leading roles in the popular dramas: “You’re Beautiful”, “Love Rain”, “Mary Stayed out All Night”, and “Pretty Man”.
7. Gong Yoo
Gong Yoo was born on July 10, 1979. He’s appeared in “Biscuit Teacher” and “Star Candy”“School”, “My Tutor Friend”, “She’s on Duty” and “Finding Mr.Destiny”. But he’s most popular for his role in “The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince”.
6. Lee Jong-suk
Jong-suk began his acting career in 2009. He’s popular for his character reprisal in K-dramas such as “I Can Hear Your Voice”, “Doctor Stranger”, and “Pinocchio”.
5. Hyun Bin
This South Korean actor was born on the 25th of September in 1982. His first lead role was in the television drama “My name is Kim Sam-soon”. He’s popular for his character “Secret Garden” and “Hyde, Jekyll, Me”.
4. So Ji Sub
Born on November 4, 1977, he began his career as a model and rapper before switching to acting. He’s popular for his role in the television series “Delicious Proposal”, “I’m Sorry, I Love You”, “Ghost”, “Cain and Abel”, “Master’s Sun” and “Oh My Venus”.
3. Lee Seung-gi
Seung-gi is an actor, MC and singer. Born on January 13, 1987, the 28 year-old actor is popular for his characters in “Brilliant Legacy”, “My Girlfriend Is a Nine-Tailed Fox”, “Gu Family Book”, “You’re All Surrounded” and “King to Heart”.
2. Kim Soo Hyun
He’s unarguably the most popular actor in Korea due to his unmatched good looks as well as his versatilities in acting . Born in 1988, he’s been acting since 2007. He’s famous for his leading roles in “My Love from the Star”, “Moon Embracing the Sun”, “Dream High” and “The Producers”.
1. Lee Min-ho
Min-ho rose stardom for his character Gun Jun Pyo in the well-known K-drama “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009.
Since then, this handsome actor has won the hearts of worldwide fans. He has played the leading roles in some popular K-dramas such as “City Hunters”, “Personal Taste” and especially “The Heirs”.
