I witnessed this modern day slavery today at a nail salon. This woman who arrived in a jeep came with this girl who looked rather unkempt and had her fan her for over 2 hours. I Watched helplessly and prayed for life to be able to add value for my children. If she can use her as a mobile fan for over 2 hours in public you can then imagine what she uses her for behind closed doors. No help for this children as we watch them being abused. No school. Still hurt by this.Sad.Posted by Francesca Joseph-Esenwa on Thursday, November 19, 2015

2 Indian girls were brutally raped and hanged in May after leaving their homes to use the toilet in a nearby field.

So, like, it spread.
— Veerender Jubbal (@Veeren_Jubbal) November 14, 2015Has spread to the point, where many people have had to tweet about the photos being photoshopped.. Any support/nice messages are welcome.
— Veerender Jubbal (@Veeren_Jubbal) November 14, 2015You can all check the last retweets. Let us start with basics. Never been to Paris. Am a Sikh dude with a turban. Lives in Canada.
— Veerender Jubbal (@Veeren_Jubbal) November 14, 2015Gamers are absolute garbage like I have been saying for a full year. People will not stop harassing, and bothering me. I am cute as gosh.

I hope everyone has caught up with what is going on with me. I went viral due to a photoshopped image claiming I am a terrorist.
— Veerender Jubbal (@Veeren_Jubbal) November 15, 2015This image has been used, and placed on the front page of a major Spain newspaper–putting me as one of the people behind terrorist attacks.
— Veerender Jubbal (@Veeren_Jubbal) November 15, 2015Well, just got a phone call from a cousin in India, and they know about it; and saw the whole thing in India Times. We might sue, I guess.
— Veerender Jubbal (@Veeren_Jubbal) November 15, 2015Portraying @Veeren_Jubbal as a terrorist puts his life at risk, ruins his reputation. This is online terrorism. pic.twitter.com/U5bJYCnIsC

Today, Nigerian twitter is lit with this discussion. Again. Who should pay on a date? But we can all agree that circumstances can be different right? So we thought of 3 instances:
I may be wrong, but if you set a date up with someone who would otherwise be undisturbed in their house – and not spending money – shouldn’t you pay for whatever activity you both indulge in? Isn’t that just common courtesy? Social etiquette dictates that the person extending the invitation should be the one who pays for the meal. I know some people disagree but come on!
Why will you tell someone to leave their house (where they weren't spending money) and go on a date with you, and tell them to split bill?

Again, I may be wrong, but if someone invites you out on a date, isn’t it just wrong to bring your friends? Asides from the financial implications, the person wanted to spend time with you and you brought a convoy. Then, the person should pay for them too? Really? Come on guys, these issues are not that hard if you just respect the other party. Seriously.

See, this is double edged. But let’s try. It’s your friends birthday, they’re inviting you to hangout. Wouldn’t you have thought of giving the person something for their birthday? As a friend, you shouldn’t go and rack up bills for another person that you don’t intend to pay a part of. I mean, who are you?

I don’t disagree with this tweet. Contribute oh! And don’t show up to a party empty-handed. That’s just rude. Guys, it’s just decency and respect. That’s all. If you have those, then you would probably do the right things.

Last night, for the first time ever, Nigeria won the Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA) Africa Basketball Championship, popularly known as AfroBasket 2015.

It’s a great day to be Nigerian, right? Well. don’t forget to share with your friends and followers.

You know one character that has always been a staple in the fairy tale canon? You guessed it; Prince Charming.

But the thing we find really funny about most fairy tales is that even with their inherently sexist nature, they never actually bother to develop their princes as anything more than props to eventually save the ‘helpless’ princesses.

Well, in a strange twist, Disney has a new live-action project in the works, and instead of focusing on the poorly developed Prince, they have decided to shine the spotlight on his virtually unknown brother.

Yeah, it’s all pretty confusing.
The movie will be a comedy penned by Matt Fogel, the writer of the critically panned Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son.

We can’t pretend to be enthusiastic, but we are certainly hopeful. Are you looking forward to it?
