On July 5, Emmanuel Nnamdi and his wife Chinyere were walking through Ferno, in northern Italy, when an Italian man, Amedeo Mancini, called her an African monkey and tried to grab her.
As expected, Emmanuel came to her defence but lost his life from the resulting fight that broke out.
People who witnessed this horrific event stated how Mancini attacked first and continued to beat Emmanuel with a street sign until he lost consciousness.
Mancini, who was described as an extremist football fan with links to a far-right political party, claimed he only insulted them because he thought they were stealing a car.
What makes Emmanuel’s death more unfortunate is, he and Chinyere left Nigeria in 2015 after Boko Haram terrorists set their church on fire, killing both their parents and relatives.
After embarking on a dangerous journey to Italy through Libya, the couple were housed by a Catholic organisation that joined them in marriage in January 2016.
Italian interior minister, Angelino Alfano, condemned Emmanuel’s death with a promise to grant Chinyere refugee status .
Although Emmanuel’s wake was attended by many sympathizers, the political leader of an anti-immigrant party still blamed his death on immigration.
This goes to show how racism affects every person of colour in all parts of the world. Nigerians are entitled to live in a safe country and shouldn’t have to look for security outside the country.
We hope the Lagos state government takes into consideration the negative impact this ban will have on hawkers if another option for education or employment is not provided.
The haemorrhagic fever which causes death of most of its victims was first recorded when a Liberian-American diplomat, Patrick Sawyer, collapsed at the Murtala Mohammed airport during a trip to Nigeria.
He was checked into First Consultant Medical Centre, where his Ebola status was confirmed under the supervision of Dr Ameyo Adedavoh, who eventually died of the disease during the process.
93 Days tells the real story of the men and women who actively fought to prevent the spread of the disease in Nigeria.
Delivering a powerful performance, Bimbo Akintola, who acts as the female consultant who contacted the government after discovering Patrick Sawyer was infected with the virus.
The movie which was directed by Steve Gukas is coming soon to Nigerian cinemas.
It’s amazing how Nollywood has created an accurate narration of an important experience in Nigerian history. You can watch the trailer here.
In November 2014, Irish DJ Noberto Loco made it into the Guinness Book Of Records after DJing for 200 hours even when power failure tried to stop his shine.
But at 7:30am on July 1, Nigeria’s DJ Obi snatched that title from him after DJing for over 8 days and counting.
Since he started his path into the world of music 8 years ago, DJ Obi Ajuonuma was obviously on the road to greatness when he won the Nigerian Entertainment Award for World Best DJ in 2011.
The Syndic8 Records DJ is the son of former TV host and producer, Dr Levi Ajuonuma, who died in the Dana Air plane crash in 2012.
Although he beat the world record, DJ Obi is aiming to make a 10-day set and has roughly 40 hours left.
However he won’t be receiving any cash gift but will have his name included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
Nigerians couldn’t be more proud of him.
@DjObiAjEnt should be trending. This is massive. He did it. Amazing! Give them a few more hours to chase! #DJObiWorldRecord

Elechi Amadi, one of Nigeria’s literary icons just passed on but he will be remembered for being so much more than a writer.
Nigeria is really blessed to have been the home country of Elechi Amadi, who was born in Aluu, Rivers state on May 12, 1934.
This genius writer didn’t have a degree in Literature or Arts, rather he was a trained scientist who earned a degree in Physics and Mathematics from University College, Ibadan.
However, while studying at the university, Elechi’s talent came to the surface during the times he contributed to the English department and students magazine, The Horn.
He dabbled in surveying and even taught science for a while before joining the Army and serving as captain between 1963 and 1966.
Taking his Army career further, he joined the Marine Commandos in 1968 after his first novel, The Concubine, was published in 1966.
Being a man driven to serve, he worked at different levels of government in Rivers state until 1990.
While helping in the development of his state, he still blessed Nigerians with plays and documented his experience during the war in his autobiography, Sunset in Biafra.
After his marriage to Priscilla Iyalla in 1991, he spent the rest of his days teaching and writing until his death on June 29.
He will be remembered for his revolutionary stories, his teachings and how beautifully he portrayed the richness of Nigerian culture.
According to a particular Nigerian OAP who should know better, this picture of a basketball team is racist.
This OAP claimed the team’s formation was racist because it excluded white players and was the reverse of what black people complain about.
Without wasting time, let’s take some people back to class so they can understand what racism is actually about.
Racism is when a society has a system in place that puts a certain group of people at a disadvantage based on the colour of their skin, by denying them access to equal opportunities and services.
Therefore, black people cannot be racist because we simply do not have the power to be since we are obviously oppressed by said system. And because;
So to break it down even further:
In such a society, the group of people being discriminated against, even when competent are usually not acknowledged for their contribution in mainstream industries.
For those that don’t get it, when basketball was invented in 1891, it was only accessible to white people even after the NBA was formed in 1946. As a result, most white communities had access to basketball courts and could play the game when they wanted.
However, when these white people moved to wealthier cities, people of colour occupied their communities and started putting the basketball courts to their own use.
It’s important to bear in mind that other sports remain dominated by a particular race and basketball is the only game black people have easy access to.
Before making ridiculous statements about racism, let’s not forget how basketball has become a symbol of cultural expression and social achievements in black communities even in the face of so many social barriers.
Like Jesse Williams said, “If you have no interest in equal rights for black people, then do not make suggestions to those who do”.
When we heard the Abuja-Kaduna rail was completed, we didn’t expect too much. However, these pictures shared by Twitter user, @Jag_bros show just how amazing the coaches are.
On June 2, transport minister, Rotimi Amaechi, announced the rail was open for test-run.
The best part is passengers get to ride the trains for free until President Buhari inaugurates the project in July.
However, Nigerians won’t have to pay through their noses to ride in these coaches because Rotimi Amaechi stated that the fares will be subsidised.
Now, people can travel between Abuja and Kaduna in the coolest coaches we’ve ever seen.
We can’t wait to see more rails like this across the country and hope they are all properly maintained.
At 10 pm on June 22, one of Nigeria’s top DJs, DJ Obi, started his challenge at Sao Cafe in a bid to break the Guinness World Record for Longest DJ Set.
Known for his versatile style, DJ Obi has performed on the same stage with artistes like Lupe Fiasco, 2Face, MI and Banky W.
Although the current record which was set in 2014, holds at 200 hours, DJ Obi wants to break this record with a 240-hour set.
Already 6 days into the challenge, DJ Obi is however only allowed a 20-minute break every 4 hours or an hour break after 12 hours.
DJing for so long isn’t an easy task and he has even suffered from swollen feet and fatigue within the past 6 days.
Several Nigerian celebs including Olamide, Lil Kesh, Wizkid, Omawumi, MI and Phyno have gone to show him support at Sao Cafe.
Some secondary school students also went to take pictures with him and wish him goodluck.
You can watch the video of his first 24 hours here.
All the best to DJ Obi. We hope he breaks this world record.
DJ Obi is currently welcoming supporters at Sao Cafe, Lekki. To keep up with his daily experiences during the challenge, check out his Instagram page and Youtube channel.
It’s been a long day and your stomach is basically saying “epp me”. So you drag yourself to the kitchen to make a nice pot of Jollof or even Eba.
And just when you’re about to serve your food and eat till you pass out…
You realise some people have moved your pot of food.
This food theft is reportedly happening in many parts of Kwara state such as Tanke, Basin, Sango and Offa Garage, especially to people living in unfenced houses.
As reported by The Guardian, these wicked thieves look out for people’s cooking pots and steal them right when the food is ready.
However, the police spokesman, Ajayi Okasanmi, vowed to deal with anyone caught stealing food according to the Penal Code.
The former chairman of the NLC, Emmanuel Ayeoribe, even related this shocking events to the non-payment of Kwara state workers’ salaries.
It is unfortunate to realise the lengths people in Kwara state have to go just to feed themselves. We hope these salaries get paid on time so the crime rate doesn’t rise to a dangerous level.
Almost everyone can relate to how strict our lecturers and professors can be sometimes. But Twitter user, @Nnenna shared pictures that prove otherwise.
She shared pictures of this professor of a university in Cote D’Ivoire backing a child with a wrapper.
According to her, the thoughtful lecturer decided to help one of his students look after her crying baby so she could concentrate on her exams.
He’s basically the kindest professor we’ve seen because…
When you bring your child to an exam hall, Nigerian lecturers be like…
How they look at you when your child starts crying.
You can’t even beg them to help hold your child when they’ve not finished holding your CGPA for you.
We hope this child’s mother aces her paper after her professor went an extra mile to help her focus.
In a world where the fight for equality is far from over, one can only imagine the kind of prejudice people with Albinism face because of their skin colour, especially across Africa.
Albinism, being simply an in-born condition in which a person is unable to produce enough melanin is however highly misunderstood in Africa.
To make matters worse, people with Albinism in countries like Tanzania and Burundi are often victims of violence and ritual killings from witch doctors.
These witch doctors believe their body parts are magical and should be used in making amulets and potions. And in less violent situations, they are not given equal rights.
In this amazing photo story titled White Ebony, Congolese photographer, Patricia Willocq, wants to promote tolerance and understanding towards people living with albinism.
She basically captured children and adults living with albinism in their most beautiful form, showing the world how equally amazing we all are.
The extent to which people will go is shocking. Violence and mutilation of people living with albinism should be treated as a serious crime.
Finally, we should stop taking the human race back by discriminating against people who look different from us.

The mother of internet fights that shook Nigerian twitter by its roots happened and it couldn’t be more shocking. Unfortunately, it wasn’t over pounded yam or paying bills.
The First Lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, dragged infamous governor, Ayo Fayose, all over the streets of Twitter because he accused her of being involved in the Haliburton scandal.
Mummy Aisha, someone can’t play with you again?
On June 21, the governor’s Zenith account was blocked as part of an EFCC investigation. And instead of licking his wounds, he came on Twitter to throw the first punch.
However, she wasn’t having it and fired back, calling him an ‘unchained mad dog’.
And said she was ready for him and even threw shade at her husband, a whole Commander-In-Chief of the Armed Forces.
Mama oh! Who knew she had Twitter fingers in her? We never ‘hexperred it’.
Even though haters will say her account was hacked, we now know Aisha Buhari is really Nigerian on the inside.
In May 2016, a new fuel price was announced but it wasn’t necessarily good news.
The fuel subsidy was removed and it meant Nigerians had to start buying fuel at 145/litre while the national minimum wage remained N18,000.
Coming from a sheltered background, Ifeatu Nnaobi believes Nigerians do not take interest in tackling socio-economic issues in the society.
Starting on June 20, she decided to live on the national minimum wage for one month as a way of creating awareness of the failing living standards in Nigeria.
For 30 days, I'll live on Nigeria's national minimum wage of N18,000. Stay tuned to see how my journey unfolds. pic.twitter.com/AaSTNA8Kof
In 2010, BBC aired a 3-series documentary, Welcome to Lagos, which was met with protests on social media because Nigerians felt it gave their country a bad image.
However, Ifeatu was only shocked to discover the harsh realities many Nigerians, especially those living in Lagos faced.
She is documenting her daily experiences while doing the minimum wage challenge on her social media pages.
Durotimi Bolaji-Idowu who works under the name, Duro Arts, is known for his caricature-style designs. He has even worked for artistes like Snoop Dogg, Davido and brands like MTVbaseAfrica. Here are some of the times he trolled us with his Bun and Belly art collection.
1. When he trolled Wizkid’s ‘controversial’ picture.
2. And he basically pulled a Daenerys Targaryen.
3. When he trolled this pre-wedding picture.
4. But really, what does ‘Bahd, Baddo, Baddest’ mean?
5. When he helped Beyonce wash her back.
6. His attempt at wearing a cropped top.
7. When he had something to say about Toolz’s wedding dress.
8. When he played with Lupita’s shuku.
9. When he wanted to use style to get on Davido’s flight.
You cannot just play with petty people anyhow, but some people just don’t get it.
In an interview with hip-hop personality, DJ Akademiks, Seyi Shay claimed Wizkid wrote Drake’s One Dance as an Afrobeat song.
And she was so sure of it and claimed the producers totally stripped the song.
Mayowa Nicholas, who was the female winner of Elite Model Look Nigeria in 2014 has shown that the only way for her is up.
She became the first Nigerian model to be featured in a Dolce & Gabbana campaign when she appeared in their Fall/Winter 2016 campaign shoot.
Sharing pictures of the campaign which was shot in Italy on her Instagram, Mayowa worked alongside models like Cong He and Sasha Kingina.
After becoming the female winner of the Elite Model Look in 2014, Mayowa went on to be a top finalist in the world finals in China.
Since then, she has walked for international designers like Hermes, Balmain, Calvin Klein and Kenzo. And in 2016, she was named as one of the 15 New Faces That Ruled Fall 2016 alongside Kendall Jenner and Irina Shayk.
Here’s wishing Mayowa many more years of fierce slayage on the runway! We’re proud of her and hope she keeps the good work up.

After three years of production, a Nigerian animated movie, The Secret Princess, produced by Segun Williams, is set to be released in cinemas this June.
The Secret Princess is about how a king’s efforts towards having a male heir leads to the switching of two new-born babies.
It explores a missing princess’s experience while living in the jungle with her mother and speaking to animals.
Playing the lead character in this movie is DJ Cuppy, with supporting roles by both local and international actors, including Desmond Elliot.
The movie, adapted from a book of the same title addresses issues such as discrimination against male and female children.
But this same Aunty K. Michelle tried to speak “Nigerian” in the most ridiculous manner.
She shared this video on her Instagram page and claimed she was only speaking Nigerian Pidgin English.
And when Nigerians started dragging her…
… She went and posted more videos. Oh dear!
As if that first one wasn’t enough torture, she went on to throw shade at African-Americans in her next video.
She said “I am not African-American, I am just African. Because African-Americans too busy getting worried about ‘tea’ and getting no bread. Wetin dey happen? How far?”
And she ended the drama while speaking at the top of her voice with a shout-out to Nigerian-American rapper, Wale.
“Look at me, I’m ‘oh-ga’ at the top. Look at you, mumu, just gossiping, blogging and suffering. Look at you, shine your eyes”.
What exactly was she trying to say in those videos?
Because they were just ridiculous and confusing.
Who told her the only way to speak pidgin English was by speaking so loudly?
Who was she even calling ‘mumu’ in the video?
When African-Americans try to ‘speak in an African accent’ but fail woefully…
Can you not?
If she was trying to win us over with those videos, we’re so not impressed!
Watch the rest of the videos on her Instagram page, @Kmichellemusic.
Nothing can be more shocking than discovering that the management of a Chinese supermarket has allegedly refused entry to Nigerians in groups, except when escorted by a police officer due to their alleged criminal activities.
According to the DailyTrust, this decision was reached after the supermarket was attacked by armed robbers who stole over 2.5 million Naira, leaving the owners injured.
Although the sign above says everyone is welcome to the store, an attendant who spoke with DailyTrust, explained that the alleged decision to bar Nigerians wasn’t discriminatory but a safety procedure to prevent recurrence of such activities.
The attendant however said Nigerians are allowed to enter the supermarket individually and not in groups except accompanied by a policeman.
In a now deleted post, Facebook user, Mohammad Jamu, claimed to have gone to the supermarket and was well-received only that people had to go in one at a time because of the robbery incident.
But wait a minute…
It’s not rocket science to know that there are several ways to improve security in any organisation than making only Nigerians go into the supermarket one at a time.
This development also points out the flaws in the Nigerian security situation and the risks Nigerians and foreigners are regularly exposed to.
However, the Nigerian police has to make efforts to curb criminal activities all over the country immediately.
This post as updated on June 16, 2016, includes the alleged account of the Facebook shopper, Mohammad Jamu, who went to check out the supermarket.
Some of the best movies ever made are the ones that were adapted from novels.
And because Chimamanda’s greatness must never be overlooked, her award-winning novel, Half Of A Yellow Sun, was made into a film produced by Biyi Bandele.
And in seriously awesome news, Chimamanda has signed the film adaptation rights of a short story from her award-winning collection, The Thing Around Your Neck, to Ghanaian director, Adoma Akosua Owusu.
The short story, On Monday Of Last Week, reveals the experience of a Nigerian immigrant, Kamara, and her interest in the mother of the boy she babysits.
Scheduled to play Kamara’s role is Chinasa Ogbuagu, who recently featured in Off-Broadway Nigerian-themed play, Sojourners.
Akosua Owusu who fell in love with the story because it addresses issues like race, self-awareness and liberalism has launched a Kickstarter campaign to help fund the project.
We’re so excited and can’t wait to see how great this movie will turn out!
To help towards making the production of this film possible, check out the Kickstarter campaign video here.
Nigeria’s Colonel Charles Nengite broke a 38-year record and became the best performing foreigner in the U.S Army War College.
He went home with not just his M.Sc degree in Strategic Studies, but 6 other awards for outstanding performance in different courses.
The College authorities also recognised Col. Nengite’s efforts towards elimination of sexual harassment in the workplace when he wrote a seminar paper titled “I am your friend”.
He also won the US Army War College Commandant’s Award for Distinction in Research for a paper he wrote on how to combat Boko Haram.
Beating 380 other students to the top position, his performance was described by the College Commandant, Maj.-Gen. William Rapp, as one of the best in the international fellows programmes at the USAWC.
Congratulations to Colonel Charles Nengite and we hope this achievement is recognised by the Nigerian Armed Forces!
When people who love to travel return from their journeys, they come with souvenirs and stories of their experiences and the people they met.
Telling the Al-Majiri story with pictures is Kolapo Oladapo, a UI and graphic designer who takes interest in changing the African narrative with code and design.
During his travel across some northern states, he learnt about the Al-Majiri community and how they are invisible realities in their own community.
Although the Al-Majiri system is now a nightmare compared to what it used to be, the number of children in the system keeps growing.
Kolapo decided to tell the story of these children who should be the future of tomorrow.
In his words, “I could show you a thousand photos exhibiting the rare & preserved beauty of Northern Nigeria”.
“I’ve seen the beautiful tall city gates, the horses, the castles…I could tell you about the INVISIBLE PEOPLE, my people, our people who are seen only by outsiders but not the indigenes and I will. They move in troops & their cloaking device is abject poverty, that way you cannot see them because they blend into the general statuesque of Northern Nigeria and indeed the entire nation, poverty”.
These children are found everywhere in the north and are usually treated like outcasts. In this photo story, Kolapo explains the story of the average Al-Majiri child.
“They are everywhere, everywhere”.
These children who ought to be in school usually work as refuse collectors.
“Refuse collectors in Kano. Lots of children ages 5-15 are engaged in menial jobs around Nigeria but a little more than usual in Northern Nigeria”.
Their parents place them in the care of Mallams who are expected to teach them Arabic and Islamic education.
“The Al-Majiri kids usually between age 5-15 can be found everywhere in Northern Nigeria even in the eyebrow places like malls, parks, the zoo, etc. It’s almost like they are INVISIBLE”.
In return for their education, their parents send funds and farm produce for their upkeep and also in appreciation of the Mallam’s efforts.
“The Mallams like pimps use the wards as beggars who file returns to them at the end of the day. If they don’t meet the target, the sleep in the many abandoned infrastructures around. Places like old theaters houses, behind public toilets, market stalls & so on”.
One can only imagine the harsh conditions they have to go through.
“An Alimajiri eating his morning ration (breakfast) from a polythene bag”.
Most times, the few who meet their daily target get to sleep in a crowded room of 20-30 people.
“Most times in pursuit of the Mallam’s happiness they get beaten, injured, whipped for either trying to steal or behaving like one who lacks home training. These are the times where the indigenes see the INVISIBLE PEOPLE. But I wonder how a child can have home training, when they have no home”.
Some of these children resort to menial jobs.
These harsh conditions of survival drive some into petty crime.
Even though their children will have to beg for a living, some parents still continue to send their children to these Mallams.
“I told my friend Abdul that in Lagos the government through its task force picks up children who hawk during school hours…He laughed and told me that if the government tried that here, they’ll be chaos because most parents don’t want their wards in “western styled” schools. They prefer them learning from the Mallams”.
Check out more stories from Kolapo on his Instagram page @Kp.e.
Two years after going through a kidney transplant, Nigerian producer and singer, OJB Jezreel, has died at 49.
Babatunde J. Okungbowa who was popular for producing Tuface Idibia’s African Queen died after suffering from a kidney failure relapse on June 14.
In 2013, he was diagnosed with kidney failure and only survived after one of his wives, Mabel, donated a kidney to him. Several Nigerian celebrities also helped in funding his operation in India.
He will be remembered for his amazing songs and here are some of them:
PS: Baby boy here means he’s winning at life a.k.a ‘chopping life’.
Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, who is on a visit to the U.S, will be hosting the Odunde festival which celebrates the Yoruba race in the U.S annually.
Here are 10 reasons why he’s an awesome Nigerian monarch:
1. He is an established accountant and a member of professional bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate Accounting Technician.
2. He is forty and still living the royal baby-boy lifestyle.
3. He runs a chain of successful businesses including Inagbe Cocowood Factory, a home furniture brand which makes use of local raw materials for production.
4. He made efforts to squash the notorious Ife/Modakeke beef and even started a fund to develop both towns and their environs.
5. Celebrities like Olamide aren’t shy to sit with him.
6. He even paid Super Eagles player, Obafemi Martins a visit.
7. He and his wife, Olori Wuraola, only know how to slay.
8. To add to his feathers, he was recently appointed as the Chancellor of University of Nigeria, Nsukka
9. During his visit to the U.S, he will be visiting President Obama at the White House and is set to receive a honorary award.
10. In his honor, New York senator, Kevin Parker and Brooklyn Borough President, Eric Adams, secured permission and declared June 13 as Yoruba day.
In record breaking and women-empowering news, Bauchi state got its first female judge when Justice Rabi Talatu Umar was appointed in June 2016.
She was appointed 2 years after the former Chief Judge, Justice Ibrahim Zango, retired in 2014.
However, her appointment didn’t come so easy. In March 2016, her recommendation as the most qualified and suitable candidate for the position of the Chief Judge of Bauchi State was met with protests and petitions.
One of them claimed Justice Umar wasn’t qualified enough because she wasn’t the most senior judicial officer nor an indigene of the state.
However, Bauchi state governor, Mohammed Abubakar, on the swearing-in ceremony argued that her appointment was legal and based on her long-standing record of being upright and professional in her official assignments.
Although haters tried to stop her, Justice Rabi has made history in Bauchi. We wish her all the best at her new job!
Popular Nigerian fashion magazine, FAB magazine, released the first online edition of their monthly publications featuring Wizkid.
Of course, they had to put him on the cover with a brilliant cover theme showing The Milky Way which contains billions of stars, just because Wizkid is also StarBoy.
But that’s not why we’re here.
Let’s talk about this really ‘interesting’ picture from the magazine shoot.
Wow! So Wizkid wants us to believe he actually uses Pound Sterling notes as tissue paper.
Or what exactly was he trying to achieve with this picture?
When Olamide sang about using Pound Sterling as tissue paper, we never imagined it this vividly, thanks Wizkid.
We totally get it, he has so much money and wears designer clothes to the toilet.
But next time he wants to ‘break the internet’ like this, he should kindly send us a warning notice.
It looks like Donald Trump isn’t the only politician calling for the ban of a group of migrants entering his country.
Indian politician and former minister, Ravi Naik, is calling for a ban on Nigerians coming into India.
According to him, Nigerians have a rough attitude, are ill-mannered and the cause of riots in major parts of India.
Describing Nigerians with an alleged racial slur, he added that Nigerians who do ‘dadagiri’, should be probed and moved out of the country.
In his words, “They create problems everywhere, we do not want Nigerian tourists. The Central government should ban Nigerians”.
Na wa o!
Isn’t it unfair to blame the crimes of a group of Nigerians on the entire nationality?
Criminals of any nationality will commit crimes whether they’re at home or abroad. Why should seeking bans be the first solution racist politicians resort to?
He should just come out and say he’s prejudiced against Nigerians instead of pretending to love his country so much. The Indian government should find better ways to combat crime in their country.
But on the other hand, money is everything to the Nigerian whose immediate needs can only be solved by lots of cash. So that tweet coming from someone who can’t relate to the average Nigerian problems left a lot of people like…
Like seriously?
And as if the fake-deep tweet about money was just DJ Cuppy’s attempt at famzing regular Nigerians like the rest of us…
…She was featured in a show documenting the lavish lifestyle of rich Nigerians living in Britain.
In the documentary, she said she hasn’t opened a bottle of champagne by herself in ages ….
Going on about London her sister, Temi, said ‘We have done Dubai and Paris but always come back to London. You have the luxury shops, luxury cars, luxury houses, you can spend the money you have worked hard making.’
She has 15 pairs of £1000 Swarovski crystal-covered Beats headphones and even threw a graduation party worth at least a few expensive cars …
She said “Some could say it’s a wedding budget, to be honest” and her sister added “It would probably estimate to the same cost as a couple of nice cars”.
Cuppy thinks she’s paved the way for female DJs in Nigeria even though she’s gotten access to events because of her privilege.
She also said ‘We are setting the pace for young women who are trying to get out of a generational trend of just going to school, be good, get a job, get married and sit there looking pretty.’
Oops! What about DJ Soupamodel, DJ Lambo and the rest who have been in the game all this while?
Maybe she hasn’t heard of the successful Nigerian women who have made the news for their ground-breaking achievements.
After flaunting so much wealth on this show, we believe you DJ Cuppy. Money really isn’t “everything”.
