Nigeria currently holds the title as the country with the highest number of private jets in Africa,  with about 177. That’s no easy feat. Out of these, four are owned by women. These are the Nigerian female billionaires that have their own private planes.

1. Folorunsho Alakija

She’s Nigeria’s first female billionaire and the founder of Famfa Oil, She is estimated to be worth at least $3.2 billion and said to own at least $100 million in real estate. Her private jet is worth $46 million.

2. Diezani Alison-Madueke

She is the first woman to hold the position of Minister of Petroleum Resources in Nigeria. She was accused in 2012 of squandering N10 billion to maintain private jets solely for her personal needs and those of her immediate family. This year, Alison was arrested in London on bribery and corruption charges.

3. Hajia Bola Muinat Shagaya

In case you’re wondering, she’s no relation of the Konga boss Sim Shagaya. Hajia is the managing director of Practoil Limited. She also has a huge investment in real estate. She’s on the board of Unity Bank Nigeria Plc She’s also a patron of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria.

4. Daisy Danjuma

She is a law graduate of Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and the wife of one of the country’s richest men, General Theophilus Danjuma. It’s reported that she got her own jet as a gift from her billionaire husband. Daisy Danjuma was a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
